To the entire crew of Texas Spirit Seekers:

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your involvement in the Halloween Investigation of our restaurant, Catfish Plantation. You and your team were very helpful and very professional in making this a fun night for everyone! The positive feed back from the winners is still coming in. I love to hear what a good time everyone had and how good it made them and us, feel that we were giving back to our community.

Overall you helped us raise over $800.00 for CASA of Ellis County. They were particularly pleased.

I am also excited about the evidence you guys have collected. We at Catfish Plantation feel that this investigation was a very meaningful investigation and are proud to have chosen you guys to be the investigators of it. We couldn't have asked for a more professional team. Everyone was impressed and felt like they were truly a part of the Texas Spirit Seekers.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to think of us that night. We are honored to have had you even consider us. All of my VIP attendees, who are media related, had a wonderful time as well and are very appreciative.

The publicity from newspapers and radio shows was amazing. This little event was covered by so many markets, that in itself is priceless.

My customers to this day still ask about you guys and inquire about the evidence. They are intrigued. They think it is neat to eat at a restaurant where you guys have investigated- twice I might add. So thank you again.

We hope to see you guys around soon. I would also like to thank you for the packets you sent out to each winner, the two shirts that were included and the video/audio copies. You really went above and beyond our expectations. That is a very neat idea to help them remember their experiences.

If there is any thing we at Catfish Plantation can do for you in the future, please call me. I always look forward to hearing from you. Please tell everyone we said hello.

These are two very good articles on the event. I also received the response above from one of the owners of the Catfish Plantation today and would like to share it with all of our visitors.

October 31, 2008 saw the TSS team leading a small benefit investigation for the Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie Texas. Proceeds from this charity investigation would go to help CASA of Ellis county Texas. You may be wondering, what is CASA? Whenever a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA. CASA programs are non-profit organizations that recruit, train and support volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in foster care. CASA volunteers help guide these children through the foster care system to safe, permanent homes.

The members of TSS felt that any group that is dedicated to helping children is worth us spending a little time and investment. Many of us here have children and if at all possible love helping children less fortunate than ours.
