The upcoming Halloween Investigation at the Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie looks to be a real Spookapaloosa. Texas Spirit Seekers and The Catfish Plantation are teaming up to raise money for CASA of Ellis County. You may be wondering, what is CASA? Whenever a child enters the foster care system because his or her home is no longer safe, a judge may appoint a committed volunteer to help them. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA. CASA programs are non-profit organizations that recruit, train and support volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in foster care. CASA volunteers help guide these children through the foster care system to safe, permanent homes.
We at TSS agreed with the owners of the Catfish Plantation, that a major portion of the funds raised from the sale of raffle tickets would be donated to the CASA organization. The winners of the ghost hunting raffle will be able to become a part of the TSS investigative team for the evening and participate in the collection of evidence that will help us confirm the clams of paranormal activity at the restaurant. Following the review of the evidence, a report and a CD of any evidence of interest, will be mailed to each of the winners.
Some of the TSS members will be at The Catfish Plantation for dinner on Thursday, Oct. 30th and the whole team will be there on Friday, Oct. 31st. So come join us for dinner and ghost stories at the Catfish Plantation, you won't be sorry, I think they have the best catfish I have ever had and a cobbler that is to DIE for!
