Introduction:
Texas Spirit Seekers is scientific in its approach to dealing with the paranormal and does not except the information gathered from Psychics, Séances or Ouija boards as this evidence can be tampered with by the individual giving the information, they have preconceived ideas about the paranormal before the start an investigation, they believe the place to be haunted before the go in the home.
We at Texas Spirit Seekers use the Null Hypothesis for every investigation we conduct. We state that the property in question has no paranormal activity before the investigation starts and try to debunk any of the reports of the paranormal, collect evidence using instrumentation such as audio recorders, video cameras, DVR systems, EMF meters, thermometers, etc. and review all data collected. We do report personal experiences but it is not accepted as paranormal activity unless it can be backed up by our instrumentation. The final report will have an introduction, history of the property if available, list of investigation team members, all experiences, data of interest, instrumentation used, comments, and a final record/conclusion. We at TSS do not charge for any of our services and will not accept payment or contributions to the group; we do this as a service to the community.
History: The Texas Railroad Inn Bed and Breakfast in Palestine Texas reflects the splendor of a bygone era as you sit in the parlor, eating a delicious slice of southern homemade pie, while listening to the old steam powered locomotive blow its whistle as it makes its departure.
Bed and Breakfast at Tiffany's was originally established in the early 1850's when "Colonel" Henry Clay Swanson moved to East Texas from Alabama, settling near Palestine in Anderson County. "Colonel" Swanson and his brother began purchasing large amounts of land in 1851, eventually creating a 15,000+ acre southern plantation by 1854.
The Historic Southern Plantation Bed and Breakfast is located at the heart of the original Swanson Plantation properties. It consists of nearly 10 acres and a large Victorian style home built in the late 1800's on the original Swanson Estate. The current property is the site where the original plantation's slave quarters for its 150 plus slaves resided prior to the end of the Civil War.
The property passed from the Swanson family in the early 1900's. The home survived the Palestine Tornado of 1946 that left fifteen people dead, and it served as a temporary morgue for eleven of the bodies until the road to town could be cleared. The home was purchased in 1955 by author/photographer Osjetea Briggs ("A WALK IN MY MOCCASINS") who resided there for over 40 years. In 1997 the property was purchased by Carrie O'Brien who painstakingly restored the home to its present condition…an elegant southern plantation bed and breakfast in the South.

The group collected a total of 89 photos, 2 hours of Hi8 video and 8 hours of DVR footage. After a throw review of the evidence there were no abnormal photos or video detected. Lance Brooks (Co-Founder and Lead Investigator)
Conclusion:
After reviewing all Hi8 video, audio and DVR recordings we did not notice anything that would validate any of the paranormal experiences in the home. We as a group are unable to render anything other than a null conclusion for this home. None of our investigators had experiences that couldn’t be explained. and we are unable to confirm nor deny the presence of paranormal phenomena at this time. A revisit and investigation is recommended.
Lance Brooks (Co-Founder and Lead Investigator)
