Introduction:
Texas Spirit Seekers is scientific in its approach to dealing with the paranormal and does not except the information gathered from Psychics, Séances or Ouija boards as this evidence can be tampered with by the individual giving the information, they have preconceived ideas about the paranormal before the start an investigation, they believe the place to be haunted before the go in the home.
We at Texas Spirit Seekers use the Null Hypothesis for every investigation we conduct. We state that the property in question has no paranormal activity before the investigation starts and try to debunk any of the reports of the paranormal, collect evidence using instrumentation such as audio recorders, video cameras, DVR systems, EMF meters, thermometers, etc. and review all data collected. We do report personal experiences but it is not accepted as paranormal activity unless it can be backed up by our instrumentation. The final report will have an introduction, history of the property if available, list of investigation team members, all experiences, data of interest, instrumentation used, comments, and a final record/conclusion. We at TSS do not charge for any of our services and will not accept payment or contributions to the group; we do this as a service to the community.
History:
The vacant building is a large one story open air structure approx. 4000sf. In the past, the building has been a restaurant, Pool Hall, and Video store. The structure sits atop the site of a building that was once a hotel/saloon in the early 1900’s.
Reported Paranormal Experiences:
Alleged activity: A woman in period clothing has been seen walking in the building, when the building was a video store, videos were thrown off the shelves while an employee was closing up the store. When the building was being used as a pool hall, pool que’s were known to fly off of the racks. A couple of police officers were called out to check the building one night as the lights were left on, during their investigation they witnessed the apparition of a woman and left the building in a hurry.

Comments:
We started our investigation at around 7:00pm with a walk through with the current owner. The building consist of a large main room of about 3000sf, a small kitchen about 400sf, a small 200sf hall way, closet and 2 bathrooms located at the back of the building. We ran EMF sweeps and noticed a small spike in the back room of the building that was later found being emitted by an incoming power line at the back door. The building currently has no power. The current owner also told us that the closet door opens on it own after being closed, which was later debunked because of a lock that sticks and would allow the door to swing open after it was closed.

Conclusion:
This was a short investigation and only 3 hours of audio, 1.5 hours of video, and 170 photos were taken. After reviewing all of the photos we found that the orb phenomena we recorded on the digital camera turned out to be lighted fibers from the floor and ceiling tiles.
After reviewing all of the evidence collected at this investigation we were unable to validate any of the claims by the current owner. This does not mean that there is no paranormal activity but rather that we were unable to capture any validating evidence. Our null hypothesis holds at this location. We are suggesting that a longer more thorough investigation be performed as soon as power has been restored to the building so other equipment can be utilized.
